Brunch Cocktails

April brings us so many sweet flavours that we can pair universally with some other amazing ingredients to bring out the best in these spring inspired cocktails.

Blueberry Martini

This is a straightforward one to make, but will create a wonderfully unique blueberry inspired martini with a dry finish.

What you’re going to need:

  • Blueberry Scone Tea (2 oz steeped, cooled)
  • Okanagan Spirits Gin (2 oz, or your favourite gin. But this one should be your favourite)
  • ½ oz Dry Vermouth

How do you do it?

Take all of the ingredients and put in a shaker with ice. Shake until the outside of the shaker is cold to the touch and pour out into a classic martini glass. For a little extra, add a blueberry garnish with a couple of them sitting on a cocktail pick.

Apple Cinnamon Twist

What’s the twist? Imagine driving down a long road in the middle of the night, and suddenly an angel appears in the middle of a field and you’re blessed with this cocktail. That’s the twist. It’s better than you can imagine. But don’t drink and drive.

What you’re going to need:

  • Apple Cinnamon Pancakes Tea (2 oz steeped, cooled)
  • Your favourite Whiskey (1.5 oz)
  • Simple Syrup (1 oz)
  • Cointreau (½ oz)
  • Orange Rind

How do you do it?

Get a rocks glass on standby for the ingredients, cool it off with some ice and soda water. Add all of the liquid ingredients into a shaker, add ice and shake until cold to the touch. Get rid of the ice and soda water in your rocks glass and pour in the shaken ingredients. Top off with ice and take your orange rind, twisting and brushing just above the ice then adding it to the glass with garnish.

Pineapple OJ Mimosa

A classic with a fruity twist. No need for a big introduction here.

* What you're going to need:*

  • Pineapple Orange Juice Tea (3 oz steeped, cooled)
  • Your favourite bubbly (3 oz)
  • Orange Slice

How do you do it?

Pour equal parts tea and bubbly into a champagne flute, garnish with the orange slice and serve! Your friends and fam will love this twist on the original.

Vanilla Cool

The name says it all, your dreams come true with this familiarly Canadian blend with a cocktail twist.

What you’re going to need:

  • Vanilla Mocha Tea (2 oz steeped, cooled)
  • Vodka (1.5 oz)
  • Amaretto (¼ oz)
  • Okanagan Spirits Cherry Liqueur (¼ oz)
  • One perfect cherry

How do you do it?

Add all of the ingredients, sans cherry, into a shaker with ice and shake until cold to the touch. Pour those delicious flavours into a rocks glass and top with ice. Give a gentle stir with a bar spoon to even the ice out. Add that cherry on top for garnish and serve up on a warm spring evening.
